Eileen has just added another bacth of new specimens to the site - about 50 in all.  Currently there are a total of 340 specimens available representing over 160 mineral species.

I have ignored this site for too long!!! I apologize for that and am now very happy to announce that Dr. Eileen Hemphill-Haley will be working to keep the rareterra.com website shelves stocked.  Eileen has a Ph.D. in the study of paleontology from the University of California Santa Cruz.  She, her husband, Mark Hemphill-Haley (Mark is the Structural Geology Professor at HSU), my wife Colleen and I all attended Humboldt State University (HSU) together back in the early 1980s and have been pals ever since.  Around 1997 Ethan Henry, her son, came along and joined the group of people we call friends.

Eileen is also a very gifted musician.  She has written dozens of songs and has produced several CDs which she markets independently through her webiste ehhmusic.com. 

If you have comments about specimens you see on this site please feel free to contact Eileen directly at: EHH@ehhmusic.com. When ordering specimens you will still be sending an email to me but Eileen is the one doing all the work.

Eileen will be working to keep this website updated with new specimens frequently so be sure to check back often.

For this renewed burst there are a wide range of items posted which have been accumulating for the past couple years in my mineral drawers.  Everything from Arsenolamprite to Zirsilite with a lot in between.
